Clearing the UPSC examination in his first attempt, Armstrong Pame is an IAS officer, who made it to the national headlines as the ‘Miracle Man of Manipur’. He earned this moniker because he spearheaded the construction of a 100-kilometer road connecting two inaccessible villages Tusem and Tamenglag in 2012, without any financial or service aid from the government.
Hailing from the Zeme Naga tribe of Manipur, Armstrong Pame's journey is defined by his commitment to public service and community development. He embodies the essence of exemplary leadership and social entrepreneurship within the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
As the founding curator of the Global Shapers Community, Imphal hub, Armstrong fosters a platform for young leaders to drive positive change at the grassroots level.
His commitment to fostering community engagement is exemplified by initiatives such as inviting school children to his office for dinner, providing them with a firsthand glimpse into the workings of the district administration, and nurturing their aspirations.

Armstrong Pame is a recipient of several awards including India’s Most Eminent IAS Officer Award 2015, and India’s Distinguished IAS Officers Award 2022.
He was also invited to the talk show ‘Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi’ by the host Amitabh Bachchan in 2015 as the hero of the 9th episode.
His ability to articulate transformative ideas and instill a sense of empowerment has earned him global recognition, culminating in his designation as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2018.
